Different campaign types

AdButler has three types of campaigns to choose from depending on which type of ad you are running. Once you have created a campaign, you can assign it to a zone or channel to begin serving. Read more about how to assign a campaign to a zone or channel ...

Standard Campaigns

Standard campaigns can be assigned to Standard Zones and E-mail Zones.

A standard campaign can be used to serve any number or combination of Image, HTML5/Rich-Media, custom HTML, or Flash ad items to Publisher standard zones.

When you create a standard campaign, you will be able to specify optional roadblock tags. Read more about Roadblocks...

Each campaign behaves as a single unit. This is important to remember when using unique delivery in a zone as a campaign will only display one ad item per page, no matter how many individual ad items it may have.

Text Campaigns

Text campaigns can be assigned to Text Ad Zones.

Text campaigns allow you to create a simple text-based ad. It gives you some simple options for formatting your ad such as text size, color and alignment. A text campaign has no size associated with it; the contents will register based on the size of the container it is displayed in.

VAST Campaigns

VAST campaigns can be assigned to VAST Ad Zones.

VAST campaigns are used for serving one or more VAST ad items. For each VAST ad item you create, you have the ability to upload multiple formats of the same video in order to ensure compatibility with various VAST-compliant video players. Do not use this feature to upload different ads, only to include multiple formats of the same ad.

If your video is not encoded correctly, certain VAST video players may make multiple requests to download the file to read the encoding data which can result in additional bandwidth usage and slow load times.
