How to set up a custom domain

AdButler gives you the option to pay for custom domains for ad serving, accessing the AdButler dashboard, or both. For more information on dashboard branding and customizing the appearance of the user interface, read White labeling in AdButler.

Trial accounts cannot request for custom domains. Further, paid subscribers must add the White-labeled Domain add-on to their subscription to use custom domains. For information on adding add-ons, read How to change your subscription.
Before requesting to use custom domains with AdButler, you must first configure the CNAME entries of your ad serving and admin domains.

How to configure domain CNAME entries

  1. Sign into your hosting provider and go to the domain management page, or the settings for the DNS zone records of your domains.
  2. Add a DNS Zone Record for your ad serving domain. Set it to be a CNAME record.
  3. Add the prefix you're using for your custom domain in the CNAME record.
  4. Configure the DNS Zone Record to point to servedbyadbutler.com.
  5. Save your changes.
  6. Repeat steps 2 to 5 for your admin panel domain, but this time point the DNS Zone Record to admin.adbutler.com.

It may take up to 48 hours for domain changes to take effect.
